Grand Prix (Prime Minister’s Incentive Award) at JCI JAPAN TOYP2024 (The Outstanding Young Persons)
At the JCI JAPAN TOYP (The Outstanding Young Persons) 2024 held on June 19, 2024, our President, Eisuke Shimizu, was awarded the Grand Prix (Prime Minister’s Incentive Award). This award is a youth version of the National Honor Award, which recognizes young leaders for their outstanding contributions to society.
TOYP is an award sponsored by the Junior Chamber International Japan (JCI Japan) to recognize the achievements of young leaders. The award recognizes young people who have made outstanding achievements in a variety of fields, including contributions to society at home and abroad, business success, and the development of science and technology. The Prime Minister’s Incentive Award, in particular, is considered the most prestigious of the awards.
OUI Inc. has continued to contribute to society through innovative medical technology. Through the development and popularization of the “Smart Eye Camera,” OUI Inc. has contributed to the realization of a society in which eye examinations can be performed anywhere at low cost, thereby helping to protect the eyesight of many people. This technology was developed to solve unmet medical needs in the medical field, and was born out of the volunteer activities of Dr. Tadashi Hattori of the NPO Asian Society for the Prevention of Blindness in Vietnam, who recommended this technology.
